Sustainable Innovation expert

Aideen believes that the transition to a low-carbon, resource-efficient and circular economy requires everyone to do their part, and has more than 20 years experience working in the public and private sectors developing and delivering pioneering sustainability programmes to make that happen. Climate KIC is Europe’s main climate-innovation platform, and in delivering their Accelerator and ClimateLaunchpad programmes Aideen has supported >100 innovators and businesses to grow and scale their climate-aligned businesses. Prior to this Aideen was a Programme Manager with the Sustainable Energy Authority Ireland (SEAI) and developed their highly successful Sustainable Energy Communities (SEC) programme, which now has over 200 Irish communities playing their part in creating a low carbon Ireland. Before joining SEAI, Aideen worked for Abbott Laboratories and holds a Masters in Integrated Environmental Management (University of Bath), and a BSc in Environmental Science & Technology (Sligo IT).
