Claire's role is to represent the needs of member organisations – Higher Education institutions, R&D intensive indigenous and multinational companies - to government, funding agencies and other stakeholders.
She works mainly on the science, innovation and education and skills agenda, with a particular emphasis on promoting greater investment in research and greater industry-education engagement.
A key priority for 2018 is to drive business led innovation, supported by a robust R&D ecosystem backed by public investment. Prior to this role Claire was a policy executive with the Irish Dairy Industries Association.
She has also worked as a research officer with Teagasc, the national agriculture and food development authority on an EU Framework Project.
