Following over 15 years in the corporate environment I set up GMJ Associates to support Irish businesses in responsible business practice. I am strong believer in the power of business to improve the human condition and create value through having values. I am particularly interested in what makes a business great; a great place to work, a great place to buy from, a great place to supply, a great asset to the community, and the conditions that encourage ethical awareness and ethical decision-making in organisations.
My work includes development of corporate responsibility strategy, materiality review and stakeholder engagement, non-financial reporting and report assurance, development and implementation of ethical compliance programmes and protected disclosure policies. I have worked with companies in the IT, financial services, pharmaceuticals, commodities and leisure sectors. I have consulted for private companies, publicly listed companies, state companies and not-for-profit organisations. I also lecture on Corporate Responsibility to MBA students in Trinity College Dublin and Griffith College Dublin, embracing the opportunity to engage with current and future business leaders and help them envisage how they will create value through responsible business practices and considered innovation. I obtained my MBA from the Smurfit Graduate School of Business in Dublin in which I specialised in Business Ethics.
